Clean your Tanker Pressure Canner by Denali Canning effortlessly with this easy guide. Over time, your canner may show signs of discoloration or rust due to regular use, which, while normal, can be unsightly. Here's how to restore it.

What You'll Need:

  • Water: Adjust the amount based on the level of discoloration.
  • Cream of Tartar: 2 tablespoons for every half gallon of water.
  • White Vinegar: For cleaning the valve and weight.

Cleaning Steps:

Mix water with cream of tartar and bring to a boil in the canner. Let it simmer to loosen any residue. For the valve and weight, use white vinegar and a scrubber to remove rust or discoloration. Rinse thoroughly and air dry before reassembling.

This simple cleaning routine not only maintains the aesthetic of your canner but also ensures it operates smoothly for your next canning session.
