Ingredients
- Denali Lids
- Denali Rings
- 5 Overripe Bananas
- 2 Cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- Pinch of salt
Directions
Are you wondering what to do with your overripe bananas? Learn how to make banana jam with this easy recipe! Get all the ingredients into a large stock pot over a medium heat, stirring occasionally. Once the jam starts to bubble, lower the heat to a simmer and cook for another 15 minutes while continuing to stir.
Once jam is cooked, ladle it into your hot jars leaving 1 ½ inch headspace. Wipe the rims clean and screw on your Denali rings on the lids.
Using the jar lifter, lower the jars into the boiling water & process for 15 minutes (depending on altitude). After processing remove your jars with a jar lifter and place the jars on a towel or padded surface to allow them to cool. You should hear a snap or ding as they are cooling when the lid's seal is formed. Test the seal and store away till you're ready to eat!
